Anna Marisa Martinez

Anna Martinez focuses her attention on commodification and the mass consumption of objects. Her installations—or, late capitalist still lifes—are a palimpsest of the visual merchandising strategies embedded in retail displays. Engaging the histories of design, fashion, photography, and architecture, Martinez’s collages, sculptures, and installations are constructed through careful consideration of viewership, which is to say, consumership.

Anna Marisa Martinez graduated with a BFA in painting from the Herron School of Art and Design in 2013. She currently works as a Visual Merchandising Manager, set and wardrobe stylist, and fashion display designer. She maintains a private studio practice in Jersey City, NJ.

81355 Promotional Images 2020

81355 (pronounced “bless”) is a voltronized collaboration between three of Indianapolis music scene’s elder statesmen; Sirius Blvck, Oreo Jones, and Sedcairn Archives. The result is the stunning and idiosyncratic debut album under the 81355 moniker, This Time I’ll Be of Use.
